still supported by straps

finally on 2 wheels again

with a little help from a friend

this is some fine smelling exhaust

forgot how quit these bikes are with the stock can

this is how a chain with not enough tlc looks like

the steering stop at the frame was broken off so that there was no stop left, we cleaned it up, drilled, tapped and but a bolt in it, i am a little concerned if the hole for the bolt might have weakend the stop to much but it seemed the right solution

Day 4

today was a rather slow and short day, were working on a lot of smaller things like fixing the broken off steering stop, cleaning the chain, etc and in the afternoon we got her back on 2 wheels, there are still a lot of little things to take care of but it`s looking good, she starts pretty good and runs smooth as long she is hooked up to my bike the second we disconnect the battery she dies, we hope it`s just the battery

that`s the new temporary ignition "switch"

that little resistor is doing tha magic
we didn`t get a spark after we cut off the ignition look, thanks to Andy from http://www.westcoastgpcycles.com/ and Burst from http://www.socalsvriders.org/ we could work around it

Day 3

almost naked naked

that gixxer front end adds some bling

we found a cut cable

why does she not corporate ?

we deceided to swap the tank and run into a electrical problem

back into the stable at the end of the day

i don`t think we need that anymore

looks a little off

not much to salvage here

looks like Bender was here

Engine damage

valve cover was toast but it looks the rest is going to be ok after a little bit of work

gixxer usd forks look a little better

2. day

on the 2. day we started to get serious and took some parts of and got a closer look to the damage

my partner in crime

she has to get along with the rest of the gang

that does not look good

fixing that should be a no brainer

with some helps from crutches she can move
my buddy and i got a little project, we bought a crashed sv, she is in bad shaped, the seller, big time pothead, bought it from a tow yard, wanted to fix her up but never did it, so he sold it, he a lot of different stories, no key etc., he was asking $1k in the beginning, we got him down to $400, here the 1. pics
